The Bing search engine will soon begin indexing Twitter tweets and other microblogging sites. Find out why this matters and what it means for the future of the web search and article promotion.

Microsoft’s Bing search engine is a completely different beast from Google or Yahoo, and it keeps proving that it is changing the way search works. One way that Bing is reaching out into the uncharted areas of search is in Microsoft’s decision to index microblogging sites like Twitter, and all of the tweets within.

Just recently I was listening to the HowStuffWorks “Stuff You Should Know” podcasts (which I do on a regular basis), and was very intrigued by what they had to say about Anger.

Among other things, the podcast talked about the fact that the genteel society of America views anger as something that is primarily unpleasant, and always negative.

While there is a very negative, very explosive side to anger, there is also a very positive side to it as well.  Anger is a useful tool, and it is important that we remember to utilize that tool rather than hamper its effectiveness.

For more information on how anger works, I encourage you to check out the HowStuffWorks articles on anger HERE.

There was a skit years ago that my youth group did called the “Ten Pound Bible.”  In it, there is a new Christian who is really excited about his life, looking for what to do next, encouragement, and the like.

As he goes from christian to christian, each one gives him something he must do in order to be a good christian.  One says that he must carry a 10-lb Bible, another that he has to talk a certain way, another that he has to buy christian gum, have a christian “walk,” etc.

Everyone puts all of these restrictions on new believers, but the people who give guidance into what new believers CAN do that make the most out of their new life.

In that vein, I decided to write a little bit about which book of the Bible would be the most fruitful for a new believer to read and commit to heart as they’re starting their spiritual journey.

Read my article on which book of the Bible a new Christian should read first, if you so desire, HERE.

However, even though I wrote this article, I really would not like for any of you to read it.  If you were to read it, then you would know all of my tactics that I use to stalk you.  And if you know my tactics to stalk you…well…then I am left without any more social security numbers and personal information to steal your bank accounts with.

Search-szortskiWhile scraping through cyberspace I discovered an interesting page on yahoo that shows what the hottest searches and fastest growing trends are on the internet. These trends offer up a lot of really interesting information, and show what the most popular of pop culture icons are on any given day. Used well, it can shed a lot of light on what trends are in youth culture, and give an insight into the icons that are shaping our kids thinking day to day.
