Just recently I was listening to the HowStuffWorks “Stuff You Should Know” podcasts (which I do on a regular basis), and was very intrigued by what they had to say about Anger.

Among other things, the podcast talked about the fact that the genteel society of America views anger as something that is primarily unpleasant, and always negative.

While there is a very negative, very explosive side to anger, there is also a very positive side to it as well.  Anger is a useful tool, and it is important that we remember to utilize that tool rather than hamper its effectiveness.

For more information on how anger works, I encourage you to check out the HowStuffWorks articles on anger HERE.

Whether or not you like Donald Miller and his writing aside, he always has something thoughtful and creative to say.  His candor and introspection has much impact on today’s generation.

Tyler Hiott has recently posted a review of Through Painted Deserts which deserves a read.

Please give it a read HERE.

Yes, the series on journaling continues.  I know…how can one person have so much to say on keeping a journal?  Well let me tell you: there’s a lot to say!  Journaling is important, and an amazing way to improve your walk with Jesus.

So, this time we’re talking about how we get guys to keep a personal journal.  Guys don’t typically flock to the stores to buy a pretty pink journal with flowers on it to put their deepest thoughts in.  It takes a discerning eye to choose a journal that a guy is going to really value and use.

Those who know me well know that somewhere in here will be my shameless plug for Moleskine notebooks.  I love Moleskine notebooks more than any other journal I have had, and am currently on my fifth full-sized notebook.

There’s a lot more to picking a journal for a guy than that, however.  Check out my article to find out more.

If you’re interested, please read my article on how to choose a journal for a guy HERE.

redbaronSo a couple weeks ago, my youth group was all set to go to Six Flags on a Saturday…then the looming weather report brought the bad news: RAIN!!!  Those of us on staff began trying to determine what to do should there be no sunshine when she’s gone.

This got me thinking…how could we still have a great time at Six Flags Over Texas with the cats and dogs falling from the atmosphere?  I devised a plan for how to have a great time at Six Flags even in the rain.

Then our group cancelled our trip.  Oh well…at least I have my article to show for it.  Oh, and the wonderful image of the Red Baron.

Enjoy my article HERE.

There was a skit years ago that my youth group did called the “Ten Pound Bible.”  In it, there is a new Christian who is really excited about his life, looking for what to do next, encouragement, and the like.

As he goes from christian to christian, each one gives him something he must do in order to be a good christian.  One says that he must carry a 10-lb Bible, another that he has to talk a certain way, another that he has to buy christian gum, have a christian “walk,” etc.

Everyone puts all of these restrictions on new believers, but the people who give guidance into what new believers CAN do that make the most out of their new life.

In that vein, I decided to write a little bit about which book of the Bible would be the most fruitful for a new believer to read and commit to heart as they’re starting their spiritual journey.

Read my article on which book of the Bible a new Christian should read first, if you so desire, HERE.

GASP!  I know, it’s a terrible thought.  What would we ever be able to do should the social networking mogul suddenly dog-Schnauser _origdecide to CHARGE us for this incredible opportunity to waste our days away.

I jest, and someone’s probably mad at me for putting down Facebook.  I’m not really putting it down; I love Facebook just as much as the next guy.  But we have to look at this logically.

I actually spoke with someone who has an “in” with Facebook to get some extra information for this article, including what Facebook might do should they actually pursue the charge for service as is suggested.

So could it happen?  What would happen if they actually did this?  Do Schnausers really shed?  Find out all this and more in my article about the apparent doom of Facebook HERE.

DISCLAIMER:  No Schnausers were harmed in the making of this article.  Actually…this has nothing to do with Schnausers.

I do believe that this picture speaks for itself…

And Americans think that they are actually doing something to help the environment.  With all of the green fever going on these days, seeing something like this on the street really puts our American sensibilities into question.

The green fever doesn’t quite match up to what is actually happening in the world.  More to come.

The creepers abound on Facebook, the social networking giant that provides information on your life to everyone you accept into your friends list. The undiscerning can find themselves in a load of trouble if they’re not careful. The ever-present Facebook stalker is always waiting just around the corner.

Facebook has given us brand new ways to keep track of each other, and along with those come the people who abuse them. Learn what a Facebook stalker can do to know your business.
However, even though I wrote this article, I really would not like for any of you to read it.  If you were to read it, then you would know all of my tactics that I use to stalk you.  And if you know my tactics to stalk you…well…then I am left without any more social security numbers and personal information to steal your bank accounts with.

Read my article on Facebook stalkers HERE.
